Which players that are set to participate in Super Bowl 2025 earned the most money this past season? We take a look at the biggest earners from both the Kansas City Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles rosters.

Who Are The 10 Highest Paid Players In Super Bowl 2025?

(Results are sorted by total cash received, via Spotrac & Over The Cap)

1. Patrick Mahomes – QB, Chiefs – $45,750,000

10 Highest-Paid Super Bowl 2025 Players For Eagles vs. Chiefs

As is expected, Patrick Mahomes is the highest paid player that will be participating in this year’s Super Bowl. The Chiefs’ quarterback signed his current deal back in 2020, which was a 10-year extension worth $450 million, giving him an average salary of $45 million per year.

He took home a cash total of $45,750,000 this year, over $14 million more than the amount of the next-highest paid player on Kansas City’s roster. He ranked 9th on the list of highest cash total for the entire NFL in 2024, just behind Deshaun Watson.

2. Jalen Hurts – QB, Eagles – $40,000,000

10 Highest-Paid Super Bowl 2025 Players For Eagles vs. Chiefs

The quarterback on the other side comes in as the second-highest paid player for this year’s big game. Jalen Hurts makes more on an annual basis than Mahomes since his current contract was signed three years later, and he was the highest paid player in NFL history for exactly 10 days after he was surpassed by Lamar Jackson.

His cash total will bump up to over $50 million next season, but this year sits at $40 million. That ranked 12th in the NFL this year, but he should be bumped into the top-10 for 2025. Hurts’ average salary on his current contract pays him $1 million more per year than Mahomes.

3. Chris Jones – DT, Chiefs – $31,350,000

10 Highest-Paid Super Bowl 2025 Players For Eagles vs. Chiefs

The anchor of the Chiefs defense is the highest-paid non-QB playing in this year’s Super Bowl, and it isn’t particularly close. Chris Jones is taking home over $31 million in cash this year, thanks to the 5-year deal that he signed which is worth a total of $158,750,000.

Jones has seen his sack total decrease by 5 or more in each of the last two seasons after posting 15.5 in 2022, but was still named as a First-Team All-Pro for the third straight year.

4. Jordan Mailata – LT, Eagles – $21,875,000

10 Highest-Paid Super Bowl 2025 Players For Eagles vs. Chiefs

Perhaps the most important piece to the success of the Eagles is their offensive line, and they pay them as such. Jordan Mailata took home the second-highest cash total of any player on Philadelphia’s roster in 2024, just a shade higher than both of their top wide receivers.

Mailata’s cash total will go down next season, but his cap hit will increase from $11.6 million to $15.2 million. He had perhaps the best season of his career this year, qualifying for an All-Pro team for the first time.

5. DeVonta Smith – WR, Eagles – $21,406,554

10 Highest-Paid Super Bowl 2025 Players For Eagles vs. Chiefs

Smith had the lowest receiving yard total of his young career in 2024, thanks in large part to playing in just 13 games. But despite that, he was able to pull in a career-high 8 touchdowns, which was the most of any receiver on the Eagles’ roster.

He took home the third-highest cash total of any of Philadelphia’s players this year, though he only had a cap hit of $8.1 million. That was thanks to a large part of his salary coming by way of a signing bonus. Smith will be the 5th-highest paid player in this year’s Super Bowl.

6. AJ Brown – WR, Eagles – $21,250,000

10 Highest-Paid Super Bowl 2025 Players For Eagles vs. Chiefs

Both of Philadelphia’s top receivers earned roughly the same amount in cash in 2024. AJ Brown is considered by most to be the team’s #1 option, though he came up nearly 400 receiving yards short of his totals from the past two seasons.

He earned just a shade less than Smith did this past season, and the two ranked 14th and 15th when it comes to highest paid wide receivers in the league in 2024.

7. Landon Dickerson – G, Eagles – $21,158,190

10 Highest-Paid Super Bowl 2025 Players For Eagles vs. Chiefs

Dickerson is yet another well-paid offensive lineman for the Eagles, and one of three to earn more than $20 million in cash for 2024. It was less than a year ago when he signed a four year, $84 million contract extension with Philadelphia, which made him the highest-paid guard in the history of the NFL.

Dickerson has made the Pro Bowl in each of the last three seasons, proving to be one of the best at his position. His cap hit was rather low, thanks to the Eagles converting much of his salary into a signing bonus.

8. Jawaan Taylor – RT, Chiefs – $20,000,000

10 Highest-Paid Super Bowl 2025 Players For Eagles vs. Chiefs

The third-highest paid player on the Chiefs in terms of 2024 cash was Jawaan Taylor. He has been a member of Kansas City’s roster since the 2023 season when he signed a 4-year, $80 million deal, and has been a reliable piece on their front line in both of his year’s with the team.

He is tied in terms of cash salary for 3rd-most at his position, behind Mike Onwenu and Joe Alt. The player that he is tied with is next on our list of highest-paid players in this year’s Super Bowl.

9. Lane Johnson – RT, Eagles – $20,000,000

10 Highest-Paid Super Bowl 2025 Players For Eagles vs. Chiefs

Yet another offensive lineman for the Eagles to make the list. Johnson is the oldest player on our list of highest-paid Super Bowl contestants, and has played for Philadelphia in each of his 12 seasons in the NFL.

His contract has little variation from year-to-year, as he has taken home $20 million in cash in each of the last three years, and will again in 2025. He was a part of the Eagles’ team that last won the Super Bowl back in 2017.

10. Creed Humphrey – C, Chiefs – $19,200,000

10 Highest-Paid Super Bowl 2025 Players For Eagles vs. Chiefs

He has been considered one of the best centers in the NFL during his four years in the league, and the Chiefs paid him as such this past season. Humphrey is playing on a 4-year, $72 million deal, but his cap hit in 2024 was a very manageable $10.7 million.

With Humphrey in the 10th spot for highest-paid players in this year’s Super Bowl, five of the players who made the list are offensive linemen.
