The Cleveland Browns have a major decision to make with the second pick.
Barring a major change of heart, the Tennessee Titans will likely select Miami’s Cam Ward with the first pick.
With Deshaun Watson set to miss most of the season with an Achilles injury, the Browns are in the market for a quarterback. Kenny Pickett is the only quarterback on the roster.
Colorado’s Shedeur Sanders could be an option with the second pick.
The Cleveland Browns brass, including owner Jimmy Haslam, attended Colorado’s pro day to see Sanders and his teammate, Travis Hunter.
On this week’s edition of The Adam Schefter Podcast, ESPN insider Adam Schefter said, “It certainly feels like the Cleveland Browns are inclined to look elsewhere, aside from quarterback.”
If Sanders isn’t the pick, then Hunter or Abdul Carter come into play at No. 2.
Ahead of Penn State’s Pro Day today, Abdul Carter had dinner last night in State College, Pa., with a large contingent of Browns officials, including owners Jimmy Haslem, JW Johnson and GM Andrew Berry.

According to BetOnline, Carter (+156) is the slight favorite over Hunter (+163) to be selected with the No. 2 pick.
Carter is the top player on most NFL draft big boards. His size, speed, and athleticism are rare to find in an edge rusher.
Pairing Carter opposite Myles Garrett could form one of the scariest pass-rushing units in the NFL.
After Hunter, the next three options are quarterbacks: Sanders (+300), Ward (+355), or Jaxson Dart (+400).
By all accounts, the Browns will take one of four players (in no specific order): Ward, Sanders, Carter, or Hunter.
