Penn State Nittany Lions tight end Tyler Warren runs the ball.

Penn State’s Tyler Warren is poised to be the first tight end selected in the 2025 NFL Draft. Will Warren get taken in the top 10, or will he get drafted in the second half of the first round?

Tyler Warren Draft Profile

Warren is the NFL’s version of a Swiss Army knife.

The 6-foot-6, 257-pound player may line up at tight end, but his speed and athleticism make him a unicorn at the position.

Warren was a legitimate weapon in Penn State’s passing attack, catching 104 balls for 1,233 yards and eight touchdowns.

Warren is most dangerous with the ball in his hands, as 700 yards came after the catch.

Penn State even lined up Warren at running back a few times, and the tight end responded with 218 yards on 26 carries and four touchdowns.

Whichever team takes Warren could have the next Brock Bowers on their roster.

BetOnline has Warren going outside the top 10, with the Indianapolis Colts (+165) as the favorite to land the Penn State product.

What’s the best thing a young quarterback like Anthony Richardson could have? A security blanket, aka a tight end. Pairing Warren and Richardson would be a smart move for that organization.

The New York Jets (+250) had the chance to draft Bowers in last year’s draft. Instead, they selected Penn State offensive tackle Olu Fashanu, who was a good pick.

Now, the Jets have the No. 7 pick and may not want to pass up on another weapon like Warren.
