2025 Travelers Championship Purse Is Up 140% Since 2022

The PGA Tour is set to tee off at TPC River Highlands on Thursday for the Travelers Championship, marking the final signature event of the 2025 season. As one of five designated signature events, the Travelers Championship features a no-cut format, meaning all players will compete across all four rounds regardless of their performance.

The 2025 Travelers Championship purse is valued at $20 million, with the winner taking home a cool $3.6 million paycheck. Along with the top prize, the champion will also earn 700 FedEx Cup points, making this tournament critical for those looking to climb the season-long standings.

Let’s go over what’s on the line this weekend at the 2025 Travelers Championship.

Travelers Championship 2025 Purse

Like many other signature events, there is no cut at the Travelers Championship this weekend. Since all players are required to compete through Sunday, everyone who qualifies for the event is guaranteed a portion of the purse. Even the last-place finisher will receive a minimum payout of $36,000, underscoring the high-stakes nature of this exclusive event.

This year’s field includes 72 of the world’s top players. The no-cut format not only guarantees four full days of action from every participant, but also maximizes star power, TV ratings, and fan engagement.

For many players, it’s one of the last major opportunities to cash in before the season winds down with only the Open Championship and FedEx Cup Playoffs offering comparable payouts. Below, we’ll break down the 2025 Travelers Championship purse and payouts for every player this weekend.

2025 Travelers Championship Purse Is Up 140% Since 2022

This week, the stakes are as high as ever at TPC River Highlands.

Since the field is limited to just 72 players, all participants must qualify for the event. Players can earn a spot through one of five categories: finishing in the top 50 of the 2024 FedEx Cup standings, qualifying via the Aon Next 10, the Aon Swing 5, winning a tournament in the current season, or ranking in the top 30 of the Official World Golf Rankings.

This year’s field is stacked with elite talent. The tournament will be headlined by some of the world’s best golfers, including Scottie Scheffler, Rory McIlroy, Xander Schauffele, and Collin Morikawa, among others. Fans can expect a high level of competition and exciting golf from start to finish. U.S. Open winner J.J. Spaun is also back in action this week after securing his first major win.

Currently, Scheffler enters as the defending champion, having defeated Tom Kim in a playoff round last year. The odds-on favorite, he will be looking to continue his dominant form and secure his fourth victory in six starts this weekend in Connecticut.

Here are the past winners and payouts for the Travelers Championship since 2007.
