Shedeur Sanders make his second NFL start this coming Sunday, and will do so against the San Francisco 49ers. Will he continue with the positive development that we saw flashes of in Week 12? Or will Sanders prove his “haters” correct by regressing to the player that we saw in his relief appearance the week prior?
Here are three proposition bets from DraftKings that you can make regarding Shedeur Sanders and his performance in the Cleveland Browns’ upcoming game:
Over/Under 156.5 Passing Yards
Best Bet: UNDER (-111)
Yes, Sanders had a rather impressive yardage total of 209 last week against the Raiders. And while that is well above the over/under figure for the game against the 49ers, the numbers could be deceiving. 118 of those yards came on two plays for the Browns, one of which was a play in which Sanders threw a screen pass that was taken 66 yards for a touchdown.
The other was rather impressive — a 52-yard bomb to Isaiah Bond set up Cleveland’s second touchdown of the day. But those were outliers to the conservative play calling that the Browns executed for most of the day. Outside those two big plays, Shedeur Sanders had just 9 completions for 91 yards.
Over/Under 0.5 Interceptions Thrown
BEST BET: UNDER (+157)
Yes, it is rather likely that Shedeur Sanders will throw an interception against the 49ers defense. He has thrown a pick in each of his appearances so far, and the trend could very well continue for the rookie quarterback in this and other upcoming games.
But the value here is too difficult to pass up. DraftKings oddsmakers have placed a -202 designation on the OVER, meaning that a $100 bet would win just $149.50. But the figure on UNDER is +157, giving a profit of $157 on a $100 wager.
To add to the value, the 49ers defense has forced just 5 interceptions all season, the 5th-fewest in the NFL.
Over/Under 31.5 Yards On Longest Pass
BEST BET: OVER (-120)
As explained above, Sanders’ big plays from Week 12 may have been an anomaly. And while the 49ers’ defense is ranked 11th in the league in points allowed, they rank 26th when it comes to passing yards given up to opposing quarterbacks. They are susceptible to a big play or two, and it could be worth taking a flier on Sanders hitting a pass of more than 32 yards.
