The starters for the 2025 WNBA All-Star Game were selected back in late June, and the rest of the field was finalized on Sunday morning. There are some big names among those that were selected as reserves for this year’s event, including Angel Reese and Kelsey Plum.

Reserves For 2025 WNBA All-Star Game Revealed On Sunday

For Reese, it will be the second time in her two-year career that she will qualify for the honors. She is the far-and-away leader in rebounds in the WNBA this year, averaging 12.6 per game, 3.2 more than any other player.

That number is still a drop-off from her mark of 13.1 from 2024, and her scoring numbers are down a bit, too. She has become more efficient, though, and has upped her assist output in an impressive way, too.

For Plum, it will be the fourth All-Star nod in her nine-year career. Her 20.1 points per game is just shy of her career-high, and she currently ranks fourth in the league when it comes to average scoring output. Her 5.6 assists per game is the seventh-best mark in the WNBA.

There are other names that have made headlines with their reserve nods. Rookies Sonia Citron and Kiki Iriafen, both of the Washington Mystics, will make their All-Star debut this year, as will number 1 overall pick Paige Bueckers from the Dallas Wings.

Skylar Diggins will be making her seventh All-Star appearance, and Alyssa Thomas now has six to her name. Brittany Sykes and Natasha Cloud are among the notable snubs this year.

The two captains for the event will be Caitlin Clark and Napheesa Collier. They will select their teams from the available player pool in a nationally broadcasted event, which will air on ESPN on Tuesday evening.

12 of 13 WNBA teams have All‑Star representation. The Connecticut Sun are the only team without a selection, as they are in the midst of one of the worst starts in league history.

The 2025 WNBA All-Star Game will take place on Saturday, July 19th.
