Joshua shared an image of Polymarket’s odds for the method of victory in his fight. The picture has Joshua’s odds at -270 to win by knockout, technical knockout, or disqualification. Those odds have since risen to -317 and counting.
Joshua is a massive favorite because of his size, strength, and experience. Joshua has had two heavyweight title reigns, with his most recent run coming from 2019 to 2021.
Joshua is a true heavyweight, while Paul typically fights a cruiserweight. Their contest will be fought at heavyweight.
Paul, who has never faced anyone like Joshua, is a massive underdog, with odds of winning at +2400.
If Paul somehow pulled off the upset, it would be the biggest win of his professional career and mark a seminal moment in the sport of boxing.

Jake Paul vs. Anthony Joshua: Tale of the Tape
How did we get here?
In August, Paul announced his next opponent would be Gervonta “Tank” Davis, the WBA lightweight champion. The match was scheduled to take place in Miami in November.
Weeks before the fight, Davis became entangled in a civil lawsuit over battery and kidnapping allegations. On November 4, the fight was canceled.
By mid-November, Paul pivoted and found another opponent in Joshua. The heavyweight fight is scheduled for Friday, Dec. 19, at the Kaseya Center in Miami, Florida.
The main fight card begins at 8 p.m. ET and will stream live globally on Netflix. The fight will consist of eight 3-minute rounds with 10-ounce gloves.
When Paul (12-1, 7 KOs) last fought, he defeated Julio César Chávez Jr. by unanimous decision in June. Since losing to Tommy Fury in February 2023, Paul has won six consecutive fights, including three knockouts.
Meanwhile, Joshua (28-4, 25 KOs) will try to bounce back following his knockout loss to Daniel Dubois in September 2024.
Joshua jumped out to a 22-0 record before suffering his first loss to Andy Ruiz Jr. in June 2019. Joshua’s two other losses came against Oleksandr Usyk.
