Arizona is now the fourth U.S. market where Sporttrade opened an online sportsbook
Sporttrade is a Philadelphia-based sports betting operator that recently announced they are live in Arizona. That includes a sports betting app and website that are up and running for the first time since receiving licensing approval in August. The company is also partnered with the Quechan Indian tribe of the Fort Yuma Indian Reservation.
After exiting the U.S. market in June, Sporttrade took over the license previously held by Unibet. CEO Alex Kane mentioned an “impressive” demand for Sporttrade in Arizona for players who want a “premium option.” Sporttrade is live for business in New Jersey, Iowa, and Colorado. During their first week of business in Arizona, new players can receive up to 10% cash back on bets up to $300.
Who is the target audience for Sporttrade?
The target audience for Sporttrade is bettors who have turned to unregulated, off-shore sportsbooks. This is often because they’ve been limited by other legal operators. Their online sportsbook promotes “stellar prices, huge limits” and offers top-of-the-line technology for customers. Sporttrade wants to modernize the sports betting experience. CEO Alex Kane called Sporttrade a perfect option for players looking to enter the future of gaming.
What has changed in the Arizona sports betting market?
Just this summer, WynnBet, SuperBook, and SaharaBet all exited the sports betting market in Arizona. As one door closes for a sportsbook, another one opens and Sporttrade is taking advantage of the opportunity. Additionally, Betfred announced last week that they are no longer taking new customers and wagers. They will cease their operations for business on November 4.
Arizona currently allows up to 20 online sports betting licenses. Ten of those 20 licenses must partner with Arizona tribal nations. Recently, Plannatech received Wynnbet’s license. They are the technology platform for the operator, Prime Sports. DraftKings, FanDuel, BetMGM, Fanatics Sportsbook, bet365, and ESPN BET are all top mobile operators in Arizona. Sporttrade hopes to be able to compete with the rest of the market.
