Ben Shelton Shares Revealing Social Media Post

Ben Shelton’s personal life has been pretty guarded. However, speculation arose last week during his run at Indian Wells about a potential relationship with NWSL Washington Spirit soccer forward Trinity Rodman.
Shelton “hard launched” the relationship on Monday night on Instagram with an elevator photo of the pair.

The two have plenty in common. They come from sports families; Trinity Rodman’s dad is ex-NBA player Dennis Rodman, and Shelton’s dad is his coach, former ATP player Bryan Shelton. Both are 22 years old and pursuing their careers as athletes.
American Tennis Players Reacted
The United States tennis players are a tight-knit community. Many believed some players knew about the relationship but were excited that he announced it.
Coco Gauff, Sloane Stephens, and Frances Tiafoe reacted. The phrase “hard launch” was used often.
Will Trinity Rodman Be At The Miami Open?
That is the $64,000 question. Fans would love to see her in Shelton’s box during the upcoming Miami Open. The Washington Spirit have their home opener on Saturday, March 22 against Kansas City. Their next game is also at home on March 28 against Bay FC.
Her schedule is pretty demanding and presumably, the relationship is relatively new so we may not see her at the Miami Open. Trinity Rodman’s soccer regular season runs through November. If all is well over the summer, we could see her at one or more of the US hardcourt stops including Cincinnati, Washington, DC, or at the US Open.
Ben Shelton Is Busy Playing The Sunshine Double
Ben Shelton was the youngest American quarterfinalist at Indian Wells since Andy Roddick over 20 years ago. He lost to eventual champion Jack Draper. He will soon take the court at the Miami Open. The Miami Open is practically is hometown tournament since he was born in Atlanta and played college tennis for the Florida Gators. His best result was a third round finish in 2024.
