It’s been a tumultuous few days for Bill Belichick and his girlfriend, Jordan Hudson. Ever since Belichick’s heavily criticized appearance on CBS Sunday Morning, reports have surfaced about Hudson’s influence on the legendary coach’s life, including her role in stopping North Carolina from appearing on HBO’s Hard Knocks.

Jordon Hudson Reportedly Stopped UNC From Being On Hard Knocks

Belichick’s North Carolina Tar Heels were selected to appear on Hard Knocks, HBO’s behind-the-scenes documentary that typically follows an NFL team during training camp.

Due to the NFL’s willingness to participate, Belichick and North Carolina agreed to be the subject of the HBO show.

Days later, the deal fell apart. Now, details emerged as to what went wrong between UNC and HBO.

In a report published by The Athletic, Hudson played an “instrumental role” in derailing the production. Hudson, 24, reportedly requested to be heavily involved in the project.

In a December 2024 email to North Carolina officials obtained by The Athletic, Hudson identified herself as the chief operating officer of Belichick Productions.

NFL Films was scheduled to begin filming Hard Knocks on North Carolina’s campus on March 1. Two days later, Jessica Boddy — the NFL’s vice president for commercial operations and business affairs — informed North Carolina that NFL Films “will not proceed with the production of the Belichick project.”

More emails obtained in the report proved that Belichick wanted to be on the show. By not appearing on Hard Knocks, North Carolina’s football program lost out on $200,000 in facilities fees to go along with the exposure the show brings.

Bill Belichick’s Awkward CBS Interview

Belichick recently appeared on CBS News Sunday Morning to promote his book, The Art of Winning: Lessons from My Life in Football.

During the interview, Belichick’s relationship with Hudson was brought up. When asked how they met, Hudson, sitting nearby, interrupted and said, “We’re not talking about this.”

TMZ later reported that Hudson was a “nightmare” on set and delayed the interview for 30 minutes.

UNC released a statement on behalf of Belichick, stating that Hudson’s attempt to control the interview was a “false narrative.”
