Will Brian Daboll Bench Giants QB Daniel Jones?
Will New York Giants head coach Brian Daboll bench Daniel Jones? See what Daboll had to say about his starting quarterback.
Giants QB Situation
Brian Daboll talks about Daniel Jones and the Giants' QB situation coming out of the bye week:

The Giants hit a new low on Sunday, losing 20-17 to the Carolina Panthers in Germany. Jones struggled all day, completing 22 of 37 passes for 190 yards and two interceptions.
Jones has thrown two touchdown passes and four interceptions in his last five games. The Giants have lost every game during that five-game stretch.
With Jones struggling, would Daboll turn to Drew Lock or Tommy DeVito to try and spark the offense? When asked about benching Jones, Daboll did not confirm nor deny a quarterback change would occur when the Giants return from their bye week.
“We’re gonna get started on this process here of going back and looking at everything you’d normally look at in a bye week,” Daboll said about potentially benching Jones via SNY. “Schemes, situational stuff, technique. All of the things you do in a normal bye week.”
Is Brian Daboll On The Hot Seat?
🚨BREAKING: @AdamSchefter on the @PatMcAfeeShow says John Mara is not set on bringing back Brian Daboll.
Mentions how John Mara said that Ben McAdoo was safe and then fired him a few weeks later in 2017. Mentions the same with Joe Judge in 2021. pic.twitter.com/bqQKbwqwjS

If the season ended today, the Giants (2-8) would have the No. 2 pick in the 2025 NFL Draft.
Would Giants owner John Mara consider making a coaching change? Three weeks ago, Mara gave Daboll and general manager Joe Schoen a vote of confidence, implying that they return in 2025.
ESPN’s Adam Schefter said that could change and that “anything’s possible” with Mara. If the Giants get the No. 1 pick, Mara might want a new coach and GM to pair with a quarterback.
What’s interesting is Jones’ salary the rest of the way. Jones signed a four-year, $160 million extension in March 2023. If Jones gets hurt and can’t pass a physical at the start of the 2025 NFL league year next March, $23 million of Jones’ $30 million salary in 2025 would be guaranteed.
The Giants have a bye in Week 11. Their next game is at home against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Nov. 24.
