The Chicago Bulls are not shopping Coby White or Ayo Dosunmu ahead of Thursday’s 3 p.m. ET trade deadline, sources told NBA insider Chris Haynes on Tuesday.
Bulls Have Already Made Multiple Trades
Sources informed Haynes just hours after the Bulls traded center Nikola Vucevic to the Boston Celtics for guard Anfernee Simons and a second-round draft pick.
On Tuesday, the Bulls also sent Kevin Huerter to the Detroit Pistons in a three-team trade involving the Minnesota Timberwolves. Chicago received guard Jaden Ivey in that deal.
White and Dosunmu could still be moved ahead of the deadline, as both players are unrestricted free agents this summer. White is earning $12.88 million this season, while Dosunmu is making $7.51 million.
League insider Marc Stein of The Stein Line reported in December that the Bulls then were listening to offers for White after the team fell into a slump.
The Timberwolves inquired about White that month, per Joe Cowley of the Chicago Sun-Times. The Wolves have been seeking to add another ball-handler before the deadline.
White, Dosunmu Progressing With Chicago
White, 25, has been limited to 29 appearances (26 starts) this season due primarily to a calf strain that delayed his debut. He’s averaging 18.6 points, 3.7 rebounds, and 5.4 assists per game.
In 74 games (73 starts) last season, White averaged 20.4 points to go along with 3.7 rebounds, 4.5 assists, and 33.1 minutes per contest. The former first-rounder also shot 45.3% from the floor and 37% from deep.
White was also named Eastern Conference Player of the Month in March of 2025. He had three straight games of 35 points or more and finished the month averaging 27.7 points.
In addition, White finished second behind Philadelphia 76ers star Tyrese Maxey in Most Improved Player voting in the 2023-24 season after averaging a then-career-best 19.1 points per game.
Meanwhile, Dosunmu is averaging a career-high 15 points through 45 games (10 starts) this campaign. Plus, he’s shooting 51.4% from the field and a career-best 45.1% from beyond the arc.
The 6-foot-4 guard recorded a season-high-29 points at Miami on Jan. 31.
