Jones has been suspended five games without pay by the NFL. He will be eligible to return after the Cardinals’ Week 5 game against the San Francisco 49ers.
Jones was arrested in November 2023 on a domestic battery charge. He spent the night in Duval County Jail before being released on bond the next day.
Jones got into an argument with the mother of his child, which allegedly resulted in her neck injury.
In March, the charge against Jones was dropped.
After further review, the NFL “deemed the incident to be in violation of its policy,” resulting in Jones’ suspension.
Jones cannot be with the team during the first five weeks of the regular season. His first potential game will be Week 6 against the Packers.
