Kellogg spoke about his bracket during CBS’ coverage of Selection Sunday.
Kellogg shocked the entire panel when he picked No. 5 Clemson to come out of the Midwest and reach the Final Four.
“Clemson is my dark horse,” Kellogg said. “They’re rugged. They almost got to the Final Four last year with a number of those guys.”
In last year’s tournament, No. 6 Clemson reached the Elite Eight for the first time since 1980.
In the 2025 NCAA Tournament, coach Brad Brownell has the Tigers as a five seed in the Midwest Region.
Clemson has a tricky first-round matchup against Will Wade and No. 12 McNeese. If the Tigers get past McNeese, they will play the winner of No. 4 Purdue and No. 13 High Point.
The Tigers will likely play No. 1 Houston out of the Big 12 in the Sweet 16.
Upset Houston and No. 2 Tennessee or No. 3 Kentucky could be waiting in the Elite Eight.
Clemson has never made the Final Four in the program’s history.
Clemson is led by Chase Hunter (16.4 points per game) and Ian Schieffelin (12.8 points per game), two key members on last season’s Elite Eight team.

Kellogg’s Final Four includes:
- No. 2 Michigan State out of the South Region
- No. 1 Florida out of the West Region
- No. 1 Duke out of the East Region
- No. 5 Clemson out of the Midwest Region
In a rematch from the regular season, Kellogg likes Clemson to defeat Duke to advance to the National Championship. Clemson beat Duke 77-71 on Feb. 8.
Kellogg believes Florida gets past Michigan State in the other semifinal.
“Florida is the most complete team in the field,” Kellogg said about the Gators before picking them to win it all.
Kellogg finished by picking the Gators to defeat Clemson in the National Championship.
