The Cleveland Browns unveiled their alternate helmet on Thursday during a presentation on Lake Erie. Unfortunately, one of the Browns’ employees found themselves in the water by the end of it.

The Browns surely made a splash in the NFL world.
Earlier today, the Browns unveiled “Alpha Dawg,” presented by DUDE Wipes. Alpha Dawg is the new all-brown alternate helmet.
To celebrate the occasion, DUDE Wipes covered an inflatable helmet on a 20-foot barge 100 yards offshore from Huntington Bank Field. After the tarp came off to unveil the helmet, an employee fell into the water while recording the ceremony.
Naturally, social media took this opportunity to humiliate the Browns.
“Someone fell off the raft when the Browns did the helmet reveal,” McNeil wrote on X. “I just can’t.”
Barstool personality Ohio’s Tate wrote, “The most Cleveland Browns clip of all time. As they take the tarp off to reveal the new brown helmet, a photographer falls off the raft into the lake.”
Unsurprisingly, a Steelers’ fan account clowned their rival, writing, “Lets check in on the Browns helmet reveal. Watch the poor soul fall in the water.”
Andrew Fillipponi wrote, “The Browns are the only team who could have someone almost drown while reviewing a new helmet color. Only in Cleveland.”

The Alpha Dawg helmets will be paired with all-brown jerseys for three home games during the 2025 season. These games include Sept. 21 vs. the Green Bay Packers, Oct. 19 vs. the Miami Dolphins, and Dec. 7 vs. the Tennessee Titans.
The brand-new helmets include a matte all-brown shell, one brown stripe and two orange stripes in the middle, and an all-brown face mask.
‘Alpha Dawg’ embodies what we set out to be as the Cleveland Browns, the leaders of the pack. We’re excited about this new alternate helmet and the ode it pays to the rich history of the color brown as part of our organization, switching it up from our iconic orange helmets,” said JW Johnson, Cleveland Browns Executive Vice President and Partner (via Browns.com). “We look forward to the team wearing the all-brown helmet and uniform combination for the first time on September 21 at Huntington Bank Field and leaning into the ‘Alpha Dawg’ mentality throughout the 2025 season.”
