Miami Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill celebrates with wide receiver Jaylen Waddle

The Miami Dolphins may be without Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle for Sunday’s game against the San Francisco 49ers. What are the injury designations for Hill and Waddle?

Tyreek Hill And Jaylen Waddle Could Miss Sunday’s Game

Hill is now listed as questionable with a wrist injury. Hill has been dealing with injuries all season long and was limited in Friday’s practice.

It’s been a down year for Hill by his standards. Hill has 67 receptions for 805 yards and five touchdowns. That’s significantly down from 2023, where Hill snagged 119 receptions for 1,799 yards and three touchdowns.

For his 2023 campaign, Hill was named First-team All-Pro for the fifth time in his career.

Hill has a better shot to play than Waddle, who missed all three practices this week. Waddle is doubtful with a knee injury he suffered in Week 15’s 20-12 loss to the Texans.

Waddle has 54 receptions for 700 yards and two touchdowns.

Miami Dolphins Looking To Do The Impossible

Heading into Week 16, the Dolphins are 6-8 and have a 4% chance of making the postseason.

With the Bills clinching the AFC East, the only way the Dolphins can qualify for the playoffs is by earning a wild-card berth.

Miami must win their three remaining games to give themselves a chance. Then, either the Broncos or the Ravens must lose their remaining games. Finally, the Colts must lose at least one game.

The Dolphins could also get in if there’s a six-team tiebreaker with two spots available, but it’s highly unlikely.

The Dolphins play the 49ers (6-8) on Dec. 22 at 4:25 p.m. ET.
