Philadelphia Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni responded to A.J. Brown’s cryptic social media post following the Eagles’ Week 4 victory over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Nick Sirianni Responds To A.J. Brown’s Social Media Post

In Week 4, the Eagles pulled out a 31-25 win over a good Tampa Bay Buccaneers team.
Brown, the Eagles’ top pass catcher, was barely involved in the offense. Brown finished the game with two receptions for 7 yards on nine targets.
After the game, Brown shared a Bible quote on his X account. The quote read, “If you’re not welcomed, not listened to, quietly withdraw. Don’t make a scene. Shrug your shoulders and be on your way.”
Many quickly associated Brown’s quote with his displeasure with the Eagles’ offense. Quarterback Jalen Hurts did not complete a pass (0 of 8) in the second half, and the Eagles still managed to win the game.
Whether he admits it or not, Brown is clearly frustrated with his role in the Eagles’ offense. Considered one of the top 10 receivers in the NFL, Brown has only managed 14 receptions for 151 yards and one touchdown in four games.
At Monday’s press conference, Sirianni addressed Brown’s post and supported his star wide receiver despite his lack of offensive production.
“Obviously, A.J. is very important to this football team,” Sirianni told reporters. “I know he wants to contribute. I know he wants to contribute, and do the things that he’s capable of doing. Again, he want to contribute in to these wins, and he’s had a couple of games where he hasn’t been able to.”
Sirianni added, “I question nothing about his desire to play great football, his desire to be a good teammate, or his desire to be here.”
This is not the first time Brown has been involved in a controversy surrounding the Eagles’ offense. Last season, Brown was spotted reading a book on the sidelines instead of conversing with his teammates.
How does Sirianni plan to handle Brown? The head coach believes in constant communication.
“Obviously, A.J. is very important to this football team,” Sirianni told reporters. “I know he wants to contribute. I know he wants to contribute, and do the things that he’s capable of doing. Again, he wants to contribute in to these wins, and he’s had a couple of games where he hasn’t been able to.”
Eagles Continue To Find Ways To Win

Philadelphia’s offense ranks 30th in yards per game (251.5) and 31st in passing yards (138.0). Yet the Eagles are finding new ways to win this season.
Hurts began Sunday’s game, completing 15 of 16 passes for 130 yards and two touchdowns in the first half. Hurts did not have a single passing yard or completion in the second half.
In particular, the passing game disappeared in the final two quarters. After completing 15 of 16 passes for 130 yards and two touchdowns in the opening 30 minutes of action, quarterback Jalen Hurts finished 0-for-8.
The Eagles’ defense held strong at the end, forcing two turnovers en route to their victory.
