The Quarterback position in fantasy football has a lot of talent.
Gone are the days when there were only a few legit fantasy QBs. Now, there are numerous QBs to select later in the draft that will deliver numbers.
Lamar Jackson, Josh Allen, Jayden Daniels, and Jalen Hurts are the top four fantasy QBs thanks to their rushing ability. Josh Allen and Jalen Hurts score a ton of rushing TDs, while Lamar and Jayden rush for a lot of yards and score rushing TDs as well.
Joe Burrow would be the fifth option in fantasy football. He gets it done through the air better than almost anyone, but he lacks the rushing upside the top four have.
If you elect to stock up on wide receivers and running backs in the first five or six rounds, there are still solid options with upside at the QB position later in the draft. These may not be as reliable as the top options, but they offer considerable upside.
Five Fantasy Football Sleepers To Draft At QB In 2025
Don’t panic if you do not get a top QB. There are plenty of starter options if you decide to draft receivers and backs in the first five or six rounds.
Brock Purdy, San Francisco 49ers
Brock Purdy had a very good 2023 season, but had a dip in production in 2024. This was due to the numerous injuries the 49ers had to deal with last season.
What went up last year was Purdy’s rushing numbers. He went from 144 rushing yards and two rushing TDs in 2023 to 323 rushing yards and five rushing TDs last season.
Christian McCaffrey missed most of last season, which hurt San Francisco’s offense.
In 2023, Purdy had 4,280 passing yards, 31 passing TDs, and 11 interceptions. Last season, Purdy had 3,864 passing yards, 20 passing TDs, and 12 interceptions.
With McCaffrey healthy, this will help Purdy and the offense succeed.
Expect a nice bounce-back season for Purdy.
Projection: 4,275 passing yards, 28 passing TDs, 11 interceptions, 290 rushing yards, and three rushing TDs.
Bo Nix, Denver Broncos
Bo Nix had a very good rookie campaign in the NFL, leading the Broncos to the postseason.
This year, Denver appears to be once again a playoff-caliber team, with some thinking a possible Super Bowl contender.
In his rookie campaign, Nix had 3,775 passing yards, 29 passing TDs, 12 interceptions, 430 rushing yards, and four rushing TDs.
Denver gave Nix a legit tight end in Evan Engram, which will further boost Nix and the offense.
In his second year with Sean Payton, Nix looks to take a huge step forward.
Projection: 4,100 passing yards, 31 passing TDs, 11 interceptions, 420 rushing yards, and four rushing TDs.
Dak Prescott, Dallas Cowboys
Last year was a dreadful season for Prescott. He only played in nine games and had poor stats.
In 2023, Prescott had 4,516 passing yards, 36 passing TDs, nine interceptions, 242 rushing yards, and two rushing TDs.
It is very possible with the addition of WR George Pickens that Prescott has a similar season to his 2023 campaign.
Just two years ago, the Cowboys ranked first in the league in points per game when Dak was healthy. In 2022, they ranked fourth in PPG. Dallas was first in 2021 in PPG as well. When Dak Prescott is healthy for an entire season, the Cowboys have an elite offense. He was not healthy last season and missed a bunch of games.
He will bounce back and have a strong 2025 campaign.
Projection: 4,400 passing yards, 30 passing TDs, 10 interceptions, 225 rushing yards, and two rushing TDs.
Trevor Lawrence, Jacksonville Jaguars
We have been waiting and waiting for Lawrence to emerge as a top QB, but it has not come to fruition yet.
With Liam Coen as his head coach and the addition of WR Travis Hunter via the draft, if Lawrence does not have a big 2025 season, he may never emerge as a top QB.
This will be his fifth season in the league, and he has been just about average. Lawrence was the first overall draft pick and was thought to be a great QB coming out of college.
WR Brian Thomas Jr was excellent in his rookie campaign, and Lawrence has no reason not to excel in 2025.
Projection: 4,050 passing yards, 28 passing TDs, 12 interceptions, 320 rushing yards, and four rushing TDs.
Caleb Williams, Chicago Bears
The Chicago Bears revamped their offense for Caleb Williams. They brought in Ben Johnson to be the new head coach. Chicago fixed their offensive line. They have weapons at WR.
There is no reason for Williams to struggle in 2025. In terms of fantasy, he was pretty solid in 2024. He ran a lot, and that always offers more upside for a QB.
Williams had 489 rushing yards in 2024. He did not record a rushing TD.
Williams had 3,541 passing yards but had just 20 passing TDs. He threw six interceptions.
Ben Johnson is working on the completion percentage for Williams. With Ben Johnson calling plays, Caleb should see a lot more success passing the ball.
If Johnson lets Williams continue to use his legs, Williams has top 10 fantasy upside in 2025.
Projection: 4,025 passing yards, 28 passing TDs, eight interceptions, 390 rushing yards, and two rushing TDs.
