San Francisco 49ers tight end George Kittle is currently rehabbing a hamstring injury. Will Kittle suit up in Week 12 against the Green Bay Packers?

George Kittle Promises He’ll Play

On Wednesday, Kittle made it clear about his status for Sunday’s game.

“I will be playing on Sunday,” Kittle said Wednesday afternoon via KNBR. “Very excited. Can’t pass up playing the Packers, so no, I will be out there for sure.”

Kittle practiced on Wednesday in a limited capacity. The injury kept Kittle out of the 49ers’ 20-17 loss to the Seattle Seahawks.

Kittle is having an All-Pro-caliber season. The tight end has been the 49ers best pass-catcher, with 43 catches for 560 yards and seven touchdowns.

Without Kittle, the 49ers offense had their worst performance of the season against the Seahawks, with season-low totals of 277 yards from scrimmage and 17 points. For the 49ers to go on a run, Kittle knows the offense must be better.

“I think the blame is our offense has to perform better,” Kittle said via KNBR. “I think our defense is playing at a level enough for us to win. We should be scoring 25+ points a game to win those games.”

49ers Face Packers In Pivotal Game

The 49ers (5-5) travel to Lambeau to face the Green Bay Packers (7-3) in America’s Game of the Week.

The game is a rematch of last season’s Divisional Round, when the 49ers came back to defeat the Packers by a score of 24-21.

The Arizona Cardinals sit atop the NFC West at 6-4. The 49ers, Seahawks, and Rams all sit at 5-5. There is still plenty of football left in this wide-open race.
