While appearing on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Sandler revealed that Happy Gilmore 2 will begin shooting in a few weeks. The sequel will shoot in New Jersey and include cameos from professional golfers.
When Fallon mentioned Kelce, Sandler revealed his plans for the Chiefs tight end in the sequel to the 1996 golf comedy.
“We have a nice something for Travis,” Sandler said about Kelce’s involvement in the sequel. “He’s gonna come by. He’s a very nice guy. You guys would love him in real life. What a big, handsome guy. Funny and cool as hell. He’s a stud and he’s so funny.”
In May, Kelce expressed his love for Happy Gilmore, saying he would do anything to be in the sequel.
“I’ll be a fucking extra… anything to get around Happy Gilmore, an Adam Sandler film or set — count me in,” Kelce said. “I’ll do anything in the movie. I’ll be part of it any way I possibly can.”
