The Heart Eyes Killer stares with a menacing look.

This Valentine’s Day, a killer has its sights on couples in Heart Eyes. Will the slasher scare its way to a $10 million debut? View the opening weekend box office predictions and odds for Heart Eyes.

What Is Heart Eyes About?

Love may be in the air, but so is death.

In Heart Eyes, a pair of co-workers find themselves in the crosshairs of the Heart Eyes Killer, a sadistic murderer who wears a mask with red-shaped hearts for eyes.

The killer has been stalking and murdering couples on Valentine’s Day for the past several years. No one is safe.

With nowhere to run, Ally (Olivia Holt) and her friends decide that the only way to end the killing spree is to fight back. “He’s going to keep killing people. We end it here,” Ally says in the trailer.

Besides Holt, Heart Eyes stars Mason Gooding, Gigi Zumbado, Michaela Watkins, Devon Sawa, and Jordana Brewster.

Josh Ruben (Werewolves Within) helms Heart Eyes from a screenplay by Happy Death Day director Christopher Landon, Phillip Murphy, and Michael Kennedy. Landon produces with Greg Gilreath and Adam Hendricks.

Heart Eyes opens on February 7, 2025.

Per Polymarket, Heart Eyes is expected to open between $6 million and $9 million (+122).

There’s an outside shot it gets above $10 million, which would be a good start for a slasher that costs $18 million to make.

Heart Eyes will have some competition this weekend at the movies. Love Hurts, an action film starring Oscar winner Ke Huy Quan, also opens on Feb. 7.

Love Hurts is projected to debut in the similar range of $6 million to $9 million.
