Here’s What Shedeur Sanders Tweeted During Unprecedented NFL Draft Free Fall

The biggest story and most shocking revelation from the first round of the 2025 NFL Draft was the absence of Shedeur Sanders. Things took a turn for the worst for the Colorado quarterback during Day 2, as he again went unselected, with the 2nd and 3rd rounds concluding without his name being called.
Shedeur Sanders Tweets During NFL Draft Free Fall
The Sanders frenzy on social media continued throughout the night on Friday. Suggestions of collusion, racism, and outright blackballing have been floated, as it is one of the most unprecedented NFL Draft free falls that we have ever seen.
Sanders didn’t keep his silence, as he took to social media as well. But he didn’t say all that much. During the third round, he fired off a tweet that read, “Thank you GOD for EVERYTHING”. In the comments were the same discussions that have been floating for well over 24 hours.
Thank you GOD for EVERYTHING

There was a point when Shedeur Sanders was considered a serious candidate to be the first overall pick. But during the scouting and evaluation processes earlier this off-season, there were rumors that his stock was falling, mostly due to poor interviews and meetings with teams.
But there was still a general belief that Sanders would be selected in the first round. The Saints were in need of a quarterback and had the no.9 pick, with the Steelers at 21 being the furthest most thought he would fall.
We are now 102 selections into the 2025 NFL Draft, and he still remains teamless.
The question is no longer who will draft Shedeur Sanders, but if he’ll be drafted at all. Teams that were quarterback-hungry entering the Draft already filled needs, as five QBs have already been selected. There are only so many spots in the league that need to be occupied, and there is a real chance that he will go unpicked completely.
The third and final day of the 2025 NFL Draft will be held on Saturday, and gets an early start set for noon ET.
