Cash game tables in CoinPoker’s VIP Arena have been busy this week as the Global Online Poker Championship enters its middle stretch, with the current stretch of play arriving almost exactly one year after some of the platform’s most notable sessions. In conjunction with the renewed activity, CoinPoker unveiled a giveaway with PokerGO offering a route to High Stakes Poker in Las Vegas, worth more than $100,000.
PLO Tables See Plenty of Action At CoinPoker’s Highest Stakes
Traffic at CoinPoker’s cash games has been on the rise lately, with the site’s highest-stakes Pot-Limit Omaha tables staying active throughout the midpoint of the Global Online Poker Championship (GOPC).
On August 25th, a player going by BTCdemon sat down at the $1,000/$2,000 VIP Arena tables. He started out opposite Barak “iWasOnly17” Wisbrod before the table grew to include Chris “Lukabrate” Nguyen, Hazeslip, Trance, and Firefox.

Former Cash Game World Champion Owen “PR0DIGY” Messere sat in as well, and at one point found himself on the wrong end of an oversized bluff from BTCdemon, who was holding nothing more than Jack-high.
In one particularly costly hand for the table, BTCdemon was involved in a pot that reached $1.1 million, with Lukabrate’s pocket Kings ultimately losing out to rivered trip Queens following a preflop all-in.

Also a fixture at the VIP Arena tables lately has been Jared Bleznick, who squared off against PencilArms in both $500/$1,000 and $200/$400 Pot-Limit Omaha games.
Their $200/$400 matchup on August 24th caught the attention of poker commentator Emil (@EmilTheRaccoon), who described the pair as “two legends at work” upon their return to the felt.

Bleznick and PencilArms played similarly high-stakes sessions on CoinPoker last year, and their reunion at the tables lines up with a broader uptick in activity at the platform’s higher limits.
Timing Matches Last Year’s Biggest Prize Pots
CoinPoker itself pointed out the coincidence, noting that this week’s action arrives right around the anniversary of some of the site’s largest-ever recorded cash game stacks.

Around this same time last year, Bleznick ran his stack up to roughly $1,500,000 in CoinPoker cash games, a session the platform still counts among the biggest cash game action it has hosted.
Reflecting on seeing the duo back at the tables, Emil captured the nostalgia in a follow-up post: “I remember these games. Sick is probably the only word describing those stakes.”
