Cal Raleigh is the talk of the baseball world after the first half of the 2025 MLB season. And in adding a couple of more accolades during the 2025 MLB All-Star events, he also became over $1 million richer.
Cal Raleigh Is Over $1 Million Richer After MLB All-Star Break
Raleigh made history just before entering the break. The 28-year-old catcher broke the record for most home runs before All-Star Week by launching 38 dingers in the first half, putting him on pace to have a historic season. The “Big Dumper” has become a sensation for the Seattle Mariners, and he received his first Mid-Summer Classic honors by playing for the American League on Tuesday night.

He’s walking home with a nice chunk of change in his pocket due to his participation.
Raleigh’s big earnings came from his performance in the MLB Home Run Derby on Monday night. By securing a victory over the rest of the field, he became the first catcher to ever win the event, and the first Mariner to do so since Ken Griffey Jr. in 1998.
For his accomplishment, Raleigh was awarded a grand prize of $1 million. But that wasn’t the only money that he made during the break.
By simply being named to the All-Star team, he earned an extra $15,000, an amount that he doubled by agreeing to participate in an in-game interview with FOX’s broadcast during the main event on Tuesday.

In total, Cal Raleigh is heading back to Seattle $1,030,000 richer than he was on Sunday evening, and was the highest earner of any player during the break.
Had the American League won the All-Star Game, he would have earned another $10,000.
All of the highest earners from the festivities in Atlanta were participants in the Home Run Derby. Each player who swung a bat in the event earned at least $150,000, with the first, second, and third place finishers taking home a sizable bonus over that figure.
The 2025 MLB season is set to resume on Friday, and Raleigh and the Mariners will start the second half by taking on the Houston Astros.
