As we look at the instances in which the University of Connecticut basketball team has been to the Final Four of the NCAA Tournament, we’ll be discussing the men’s team here. But for those interested in the UConn women’s program, which is the most successful program in women’s college basketball history, the Huskies have been to the Final Four on 22 occasions and have won a record 11 national championships. Now, the UConn men’s program obviously hasn’t had the same success. Truth be told, only the men’s program at UCLA has won as many titles. But it’s not as if the male Huskies haven’t won anything. It’s actually quite the contrary as UConn, which played its first basketball game in 1901, is one of the top 30 winningest programs in men’s college basketball history in terms of total victories. As it pertains to March Madness, the Huskies rank in the top 15 in NCAA Tournament appearances. The same can be said for appearances in the Sweet 16 and the Elite Eight. As for the Final Four, their appearance in the 2023 edition put them in a tie for 10th. So just how many times has UConn been to the Final Four of the NCAA Tournament?
