I Know What You Did Last Summer is the fourth movie in the franchise and a direct sequel to 1998’s I Still Know What You Did Last Summer.
After five friends — Danica Richards (Madelyn Cline), Ava Brucks (Chase Sui Wonders), Milo Griffin (Jonah Hauer-King), Teddy Spencer (Tyriq Withers), and Stevie Ward (Sarah Pidgeon) — get into a car accident and hit a pedestrian, the group covers up the crime and agrees to never speak about it again.
One year later, someone sends Danica a card that reads, “I Know What You Did Last Summer.”
The stalker — known as the Fisherman due to his deadly hook — begins stalking the group. The Fisherman rivals the killer from the 1997 massacre in Southport, so the group seeks help from the two survivors: Julie James (Jennifer Love Hewitt) and Ray Bronson (Freddie Prinze Jr.).
Jennifer Kaytin Robinson (Do Revenge) directs the slasher from a screenplay she co-wrote with Sam Lansky. Neal H. Moritz returns to produce.
