Green Bay Packers cornerback Jaire Alexander could be on the move. The Packers are “open to moving” the two-time All-Pro defensive back, NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reported on Thursday. If a trade can’t be found, the Packers might cut Alexander due to his $25 million cap hit. Here are three teams that should acquire Jaire Alexander.

Minnesota Vikings
Why would the Packers help an NFC North rival?
It’s unlikely that the Packers would deal Alexander to the Minnesota Vikings.
Taking the division circumstances out of the equation, the Vikings are a perfect fit for Alexander.
This free agency period, the Vikings could potentially lose two members of their secondary in cornerback Byron Murphy Jr. and safety Camryn Bynum.
Stephon Gilmore is also set to become a free agent.
If the Vikings can’t re-sign Murphy, Minnesota will then need a new No. 1 cornerback. Despite his injury history, Alexander could step in and take on the role as the team’s best defensive back.
New England Patriots
The Patriots have two things that make Alexander a good fit in New England.
First, the Patriots have a defensive-minded coach in Mike Vrabel. If there’s anyone who knows how important a great defense is to a team, it’s Vrabel, who won three Super Bowls with New England in the early 2000s.
The second reason why Alexander would be a good fit involves cap space. The Patriots are projected to have the most cap space in the NFL at approximately $123 million.
The Patriots have a shutdown corner in Christian Gonzalez. Now it’s time to pair Gonzalez with another great corner like Alexander to elevate their secondary into one of the league’s best.
Las Vegas Raiders
Pete Carroll won a Super Bowl with the Legion of Boom in Seattle.
Now as the head coach of the Raiders, Carroll will be tasked with rebuilding a team that went 4-13 in 2024.
The Raiders front four are above average thanks to Maxx Crosby and Christian Wilkins.
However, the back seven need some work.
With the Raiders projected to have the second most cap space behind the Patriots, adding a player like Alexander is a step in the right direction for this franchise.
