Jake Paul readies to fight.

Jake Paul and Gervonta “Tank” Davis will meet in a boxing match this November.

Jake Paul Vs. Gervonta Davis Official For November

The Problem Child has found his next opponent.

Fresh off his win against Julio César Chávez Jr., Paul (12-1, 7 KOs) will step into the ring with Davis (30-0-1, 28 KOs), the undefeated three-division champion.

The event will take place at State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Georgia. The fight will stream live globally on Friday, Nov. 14, on Netflix.

The glaring issue with this fight is the weight discrepancy. Paul fought under the cruiserweight limit of 200 pounds against Chávez. Last year, Paul fought at heavyweight against Mike Tyson and weighed 227.2 pounds.

In his last fight, Davis fought at 133.8 pounds against Lamont Roach Jr.

Mike Coppinger of Ring Magazine reported that the fight between Paul and Davis would be an exhibition. However, ESPN reported that both sides are still deciding the weight before committing to an exhibition.

“We’re still figuring that out,” Most Valuable Promotions co-founder Nakisa Bidarian told ESPN. “Jake will definitely have to come down below his 200-pound weight that he’s been fighting at. I can tell you that we’re going to have a fight that will have a definitive outcome, whether by way of knockout or decision.”

Netflix’s press release did not state if the fight would be an exhibition.

Paul could implement the exhibition rules that his brother, Logan Paul, followed in his fight against Floyd Mayweather Jr. Logan weighed in at 189.5 pounds, while Mayweather weighed in at 155 pounds.

Regardless of the weight, Paul and Davis have agreed to fight in November.

How We Got To This Point?

After beating Chávez Jr. in June, Paul was searching for his next fight and had two names in mind: Anthony Joshua and Canelo Alvarez.

The Paul vs. Joshua matchup reportedly fell apart. However, Bidarian told ESPN that the fight is still on the table after 2025.

Alvarez might still happen at some point, but the Mexican champion will first face Terence Crawford on Sept. 13.

Paul, 28, is one of boxing’s most polarizing figures and one of its most popular fighters. Paul’s fight against Tyson broke the gate record — over $18 million — for a combat sports event outside of Las Vegas. The matchup also became the most-streamed sporting event in history, peaking at 65 million concurrent streams.

Meanwhile, Davis is coming off a controversial draw with Roach in March. A rematch between the two fighters was explored, but Davis has opted to fight Paul first.
