Jalen Hurts scrambles during Super Bowl 57.

Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts is looking to become the fourth starting QB drafted in the second round to win a Super Bowl.

Which Second-Round QBs Have Won Super Bowls?

When Hurts takes the field for the Eagles in two weeks, it will be the 10th time a quarterback drafted in the second round will start a Super Bowl.

The following second-round quarterbacks have started in the Super Bowl: Raiders’ Kenny Stabler (XI), Eagles’ Ron Jaworski (XV), Bengals’ Boomer Esiason (XXIII), Packers’ Brett Favre (XXXI, XXXII), Saints’ Drew Brees (XLIV), 49ers’ Colin Kaepernick (XLVII), 49ers’ Jimmy Garoppolo (LIV), Eagles’ Jalen Hurts (LVII, LIX).

Only three of those eight quarterbacks have won Super Bowls: Stabler, Favre (XXXI), and Brees.

Stabler and the John Madden-coached Raiders defeated the Minnesota Vikings 32-14 to win Super Bowl XI. Stabler completed 12 of 19 passes for 180 yards and one touchdown.

Favre led the Packers to a 35-21 victory over the New England Patriots in Super Bowl XXXI. Favre, who won the regular-season MVP, completed 14 of 27 passes for 246 yards and two touchdowns. Favre also rushed for one touchdown.

Brees and the Saints pulled off the shocking upset over the Indianapolis Colts in Super Bowl XLIV. Brees completed 32 of 39 passes for 288 yards and two touchdowns in the 31-17 victory.

Brees was named Super Bowl XLIV MVP.

Jalen Hurt Reaches 2nd Super Bowl In Three Seasons

In his fourth year as the full-time starter, Hurts has the Eagles in their second Super Bowl in three seasons.

Hurts and the Eagles previously faced the Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl LVII.

In that game, Hurts lit up the stat sheet, completing 27 of 38 passes for 304 yards and one touchdown. Hurts also rushed for 70 yards and three touchdowns.

However, the Eagles came up short, losing 38-35.

Hurts and the Eagles will have a shot at redemption when they face the Chiefs in Super Bowl LIX on Feb. 9.
