2024 Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships WTA champion Jasmine Paolini was injured in the third round of this year’s tournament in her match against Sofia Kenin.  Though she finished the match, she withdrew from doubles, and many were concerned about her ability to participate in Tennis Paradise and March’s Sunshine Double at Indian Wells and Miami.

Paolini took to social media to share an update on her condition.

What Jasmine Paolini Said

Paolini is seen on video working out and running on the beach.  She resumed training and reported that she would be ready for Indian Wells.  Fans will see her at Indian Wells on March 4 in the Eisenhower Cup.  Paolini is teaming with Italian compatriot Lorenzo Musetti in the eight-team mixed doubles exhibition.

While Paolini’s health is a top priority, she also must be evaluating her 2025 expectations.  She was the French Open and Wimbledon finalist which means in the spring and summer she has a lot of points to defend to keep her ranking up.

Australian Open champion Madison Keys who has not played since Melbourne is on her heels at World No. 5 as a result of her points gained winning the year’s first Grand Slam and the first of her career.

Paolini is also an accomplished doubles player, currently ranked World No. 7. In 2024, she was a French Open finalist and won Paris Olympic gold with Sara Errani.  She has two singles and seven doubles WTA titles in her career.

Jasmine Paolini is a fan favorite whose career exploded in 2024.  Everyone wants her to be healthy for the rest of the season.
