Jason Robertson records seventh NHL career hat trick

Dallas Stars left winger Jason Robertson of Arcadia, California recorded his seventh National Hockey League hat trick on Saturday. He accomplished the feat in a 5-1 Dallas Stars win over the Philadelphia Flyers. Robertson’s hat trick was also a natural hat trick.

Robertson scored the game-winning goal at 11:39 of the second period to put the Stars up 2-0 at the time. He scored from Tyler Seguin of Brampton, Ontario, and Roope Hintz of Tampere, Finland. Robertson then put the Stars up 3-0 with two minutes and 58 seconds left in the second period. Esa Lindell of Vantaa, Finland and Hintz picked up the assists. Robertson’s hat trick came at 9:29 of the third period on the power-play to put the Stars up 4-0. Hintz and Mikko Rantanen of Nousiainen, Finland had the assists.

Six prior hat tricks

Robertson’s first NHL hat trick came on March 4, 2022 in a 4-3 Stars win over the Winnipeg Jets. Robertson then had a three goal game on March 6, 2022 in a 6-3 Stars win over the Minnesota Wild, on December 1, 2022 in a 5-0 Stars win over the Anaheim Ducks, on May 27, 2024 in a 5-3 Stars win over the Edmonton Oilers (game three of the 2024 Western Conference Final), on February 23, 2025 in a 4-3 Stars win over the New York Islanders, and on March 26, 2025 in a 4-3 Stars win over the Oilers.
