Jets vs. Dolphins Odds and Predictions

— New York Jets (@nyjets) September 26, 2025
This game might not be easy on the eyes.
The Jets are coming off a last-second loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Down 23-6 in the fourth quarter, the Jets fought back to take the lead 27-26 after a blocked field goal was returned for a touchdown.
The Jets could not hold onto the lead as Baker Mayfield led the Bucs on a seven-play, 48-yard drive to set up the game-winning 35-yard field goal by Chase McLaughlin.
After a complete no-show against the Bills in Week 2, the Jets showed a lot of fight in Week 3’s loss. The team did it with quarterback Tyrod Taylor filling in for the injured Justin Fields.
Speaking of Fields, he still needs to clear the NFL’s concussion protocol to play. Fields returned to practice on Thursday, opening the door to start on Monday night.
The Jets are one of the worst-performing teams at night. Since 2019, the Jets are 3-14 in primetime games.
After two disappointing performances to start the season, the Dolphins showed some fight in their 31-21 loss to the Buffalo Bills.
The Dolphins drove into the Bills’ territory late in the fourth quarter, but Tua Tagovailoa threw a backbreaking interception to end their scoring potential.
Tagovailoa has never lost to the Jets (0-5) as Miami’s starter.
If Fields is cleared, expect the line to move toward the Jets. If Taylor remains the starter, the line should stay at 2.5 or 3.
These are two bad teams with weaknesses all over, especially on defense. I don’t blame anyone for avoiding this game.
Because of the uncertainty around Fields’ and Tagovailoa’s dominance against the Jets, I’ll take the home team to win and cover.
