Life finds a way again, as the dinosaurs return for another outing in Jurassic World Rebirth. The next Jurassic World should post a huge number at the box office for the holiday weekend. View our Jurassic World Rebirth predictions and odds.

What Is Jurassic World Rebirth About?

Five years after the events of Jurassic World Rebirth, dinosaurs and prehistoric animals are struggling to live in human environments. Instead, the creatures thrive in isolated, tropical locations.

Covert operative Zora Bennett (Scarlett Johansson) is recruited by a pharmaceutical company to lead a mission to the forbidden island of Ile Saint-Hubert.

Zora and her team must assist Dr. Henry Loomis (Jonathan Bailey) in extracting the DNA of the three biggest dinosaurs from the air, sea, and land. This DNA could create a miracle drug that saves countless lives.

This won’t be a walk in the park, and upon arriving at Ile Saint-Hubert, the group learns the island features mutated dinosaurs not worthy of being in Jurassic Park. These dinosaurs are more reckless and ruthless than ever before.

Survival is not guaranteed in this action adventure.

Mahershala Ali, Rupert Friend, Manuel Garcia-Rulfo, Luna Blaise, David Iacono, Audrina Miranda, and Ed Skrein also star.

Gareth Edwards directs from a screenplay by Jurassic Park scribe David Koepp.

Jurassic World Rebirth opens in theaters on July 2.

Jurassic World movies have printed money in the past. The previous three entries all grossed over $1 billion worldwide.

Domestically, Jurassic World Rebirth will be the top movie of the holiday weekend, and it won’t be particularly close. Polymarket has the low-end estimate of $117 million (+733) over the five-day weekend.

However, audiences love dinosaurs, and this could power Rebirth to an opening of $130 million (+150).

If Jurassic World Rebirth becomes another billion-dollar hit, expect a sequel by 2028.
