Kendrick Lamar’s Super Bowl halftime show ‘worse than the Chiefs offense’

The Super Bowl halftime show attracted the usual mixed reviews but most seemed to suggest this was one of the poorer performances in recent history.
Kendrick Lamar took to the stage in New Orleans at the Caesars Superdome fresh off the back of five Grammy wins but his display didn’t quite live up to the hype.
The 37-year-old performed after a stunning first half which saw the Philadelphia Eagles race out to a 27-0 lead as the Kansas City Chiefs’ hopes of a three-peat were crushed.
Lamar was joined by actor Samuel L. Jackson and SZA and a number of celebrities in the crowd like Tennis legend Serena Williams were spotted dancing to the award-winning hit ‘Not Like Us.’
This halftime show is worse than the Chiefs offense.

Earlier this week, the rapper told the press the viewers could expect ‘storytelling’:
“Being in the now and being just locked-in to how I feel and the energy I have now, that’s the L.A. energy for me.
‘That’s something I wanted to carry over to New Orleans and for the world to see. This is me. This is Kendrick Lamar, 37 years old, and I still feel like I’m elevating, I’m still on a journey.
” I think I’ve always been very open about storytelling through all my catalog and my history of music. And I’ve always had a passion about bringing that on whatever stage I’m on.”
Worst halftime show ever?
