Cleveland Browns head coach Kevin Stefanski could be on the hot seat. Will Stefanski return as the coach in 2025?

Kevin Stefanski Should Be Back In 2025

Despite the team’s 2-8 record, the Browns are not expected to make a head coaching change.

Per NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, Stefanski is expected to be the Browns head coach in 2025.

ESPN’s Adam Schefter also believes Stefanski will be back, saying he doesn’t understand the “noise” about a coaching change.

“There’s a lot of people making noise about Kevin Stefanski being on the hot seat, and I don’t quite understand it, considering he signed an extension in June,” said Schefter on Thursday’s Get Up. “He is a two-time coach of the year, and my understanding is they’re not doing anything right now despite all the noise about the Browns potentially making a coaching change. Not happening.”

Albert Breer also reported that Browns GM Andrew Berry will likely return in 2025.

Kevin Stefanski Resume

After serving as the offensive coordinator for the Minnesota Vikings in 2019, Stefanski became the head coach of the Cleveland Browns ahead of the 2020 season.

In Stefanski’s first year, the Browns went 11-5 and reached the AFC Divisional Round before falling to the Kansas City Chiefs. Stefanski won the AP NFL Coach of the Year.

In 2023, Stefanski led the Browns to an 11-6 record with a rejuvenated Joe Flacco under center. Stefannski won his second AP NFL Coach of the Year award.

Entering Thursday night’s game, Stefanski’s coaching record in Cleveland is 39-38 (.506).
