Winnipeg Jets left winger Kyle Connor of Shelby Township, Michigan is in the final year of a seven year contract worth $50 million. In 2025-26, Connor is set to make $7.1 million. There is no question that the Jets want to re-sign an integral part of their team. However, Connor does not have an extension yet, and similar to another Connor who plays for another Canadian team, there will be questions about whether or not both Connors stay with the Jets and Oilers until an official contract takes place.

The faceoff win came in a 5-2 Jets win over the Calgary Flames on January 26.
Two shorthanded goals
Connor’s first shorthanded goal this past season came on October 26, 2024 in a 5-3 Jets win over the Calgary Flames. Connor scored from captain Adam Lowry and defenseman Neal Pionk with two minutes and 23 seconds left in the first period to put the Jets up 2-1 at the time.
Connor’s second shorthanded goal this past season came on January 30, 2025 in a 6-2 Jets win over the Boston Bruins. Connor closed out the scoring from Vladislav Namestnikov of Zhukovskiy, Russia with 37 seconds left in the third period.
