Kyle Hamilton Agrees To Historic Contract Extension

The best safety in football is now being paid like it.

According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Hamilton and the Ravens have agreed to a four-year, $100.4 million extension. The team later confirmed the deal.

“It’s crazy. It’s a dream come true,” Hamilton said about the deal via the Ravens’ team website. “First, I just want to thank a lot of people. I want to thank God, first and foremost. [There are] so many situations and things that have happened in my life that have gotten me to this position.

“I think back to draft night, and some people have said some things about where I was drafted, this and that, and where I could be drafted. And at the time, I think I was the least mad out of anybody. I knew that I came to the right place, and I think that’s how God works sometimes. You have to see the bigger picture and [that He] has bigger plans for us.”

Since the Ravens used a first-round draft pick on him in 2022, Hamilton has ascended to the top of the list for the NFL’s best safeties. Hamilton has 250 tackles, seven sacks, and five interceptions in three seasons.

Hamilton is a two-time Pro Bowl selection and made First-Team All-Pro in 2023 and Second-Team All-Pro in 2024.

Hamilton’s combination of size, speed, and versatility makes him the backbone of the Ravens’ defense.

“Phenomenal player. Phenomenal person. Great leader,” General Manager Eric DeCosta said about Hamilton. “We think this recognizes his impact on our team and in the community. We’re thrilled to get this done and off my plate.”
