Manchester United Star Bruno Fernandes Reveals Interesting Cristiano Ronaldo Secret
Ronaldo, 39, is one of the finest forwards in the history of the game. The former Real Madrid superstar is seen as the perfect role model — the ultimate amalgamation of talent and hard work. On the surface, Ronaldo appears as a serious, no-nonsense person, doing everything in his power to improve on-field performance. However, as Fernandes has noted, Ronaldo also has a secret fun side to him.
Speaking on Ronaldo’s YouTube channel, UR Cristiano, Fernandes said (via GOAL):
“I think there are many things you don’t know – you have to be always around him to know what his life is like, but… he’s good at dancing, he has good dance steps.”
Fernandes Admits Being Completely Star-Struck by Ronaldo
Fernandes, who has become one of Portugal’s leaders, made his international debut in November 2017. By then, Ronaldo had already cemented his legacy as one of the best players in the history of the sport. Understandably, it was the moment of a lifetime when the up-and-coming talent Fernandes got to share the dressing room with the legendary goalscorer for the first time.
Opening up about the experience, Fernandes said:
“It’s funny, but also emotional. When I first arrived here I was surrounded by great players that I admired and I was quite shy. I didn’t want to talk to anyone.
“I would shake hands with my head down and Cristiano wasn’t there when I arrived, because I arrived very early and when he arrived he started talking to me, saying my name… and he said to me ‘I’ve seen your games, you’ve been scoring goals, playing very well for Sporting’ and I remember going back to the room to talk to my friends and family… ‘He’s been watching my games, how does he know my name?’, because it was the first time I was arriving at the national team and you admire these players and you always think that they don’t know who you are.”
Fernandes and Ronaldo have shared the 58 times for Portugal over the years, combining for six goals.
