The Associated Press released their 2025 All-America Teams. Duke’s Cooper Flagg and Auburn’s Johni Broome lead the field as unanimous first-team selections.

Cooper Flagg, Johni Broome Headline The First-Team

Flagg and Broome were the only two players to be named unanimous selections for the 2024-25 All-America men’s basketball team.

Flagg has been Duke’s do-it-all superstar. The 18-year-old freshman leads Duke in per-game averages for points (18.9), rebounds (7.5), assists (4.1), steals (1.5), and blocks (1.2).

Flagg missed most of the ACC Tournament with an ankle injury. Duke head coach Jon Scheyer expects Flagg to play for No. 1 Duke when they take on No. 16 American/No. 16 Mount St. Mary’s in Friday’s First Round game.

Auburn’s Broome has been sensational in his own right. The fifth-year senior averaged 18.9 points, 10.6 rebounds, and 3.1 assists.

Broome and Flagg are two frontrunners for National Player of the Year.

Being on opposite sides of the bracket, there is a strong chance No. 1 Auburn faces No. 1 Duke in the national championship of March Madness. It would be a rematch of the Dec. 4 game when Duke came out on top 84-78.

Joining Flagg and Broome on the first team are Purdue’s Braden Smith, Alabama’s Mark Sears, and Florida’s Walter Clayton Jr.

Texas Tech’s JT Toppin headlines the second team. Toppin, a transfer from New Mexico, won the Big 12 Player of the Year in his first season with the Red Raiders.

Toppin is joined on the second team with Marquette’s Kam Jones, Wisconsin’s John Tonje, Memphis’ PJ Haggerty, and St. John’s RJ Luis Jr.

Kansas’ Hunter Dickinson garners his third All-America selection of his career. Dickinson is on the third team alongside Creighton’s Ryan Kalkbrenner, Tennessee’s Zakai Zeigler, Villanova’s Eric Dixon, and Houston’s LJ Cryer.
