Mavericks Trade Rumors: Interest Level In Anthony Davis ‘Remains To Be Seen’

Through 26 games, the Mavericks are 10-16 in 2025-26. Dallas is 6-4 in their last 10 and has won two straight. Anthony Davis has played in six consecutive games for the Mavericks.

That’s after he missed 14 straight games due to a calf strain. Ahead of their game on Monday, NBA insider Marc Stein reported that Davis is listed as questionable due to a calf injury. Additionally, Sam Amick of The Athletic shared an update on Davis’ trade status. While the Mavericks are reportedly willing to listen to trade offers, the interest level in Anthony Davis “remains to be seen.”

Insiders have yet to see any real interest around the league for Anthony Davis

Since he’s arrived in Dallas, it’s been an uphill battle for Anthony Davis to stay on the court. He appeared in nine of 33 games for the Mavs in 2024-25. Davis dealt with multiple injuries last year. Early in the 2025-26 season, Anthony Davis suffered a calf strain. He was forced to miss 14 consecutive games for the Mavericks. Through the team’s first 26 games, Davis has made 11 starts.

Injuries have kept the one-time NBA champion off the court for Dallas. He’s already missed more than half of the team’s games this season. On Monday, December 15, Davis is questionable due to a calf injury. The same calf that caused him to miss time earlier this year. Not ideal for the 32-year-old. With his injury history starting to pile up in Dallas, NBA insiders are starting to wonder if a team will want to trade for Davis.

NBA insider Sam Amick reported that the interest level in Anthony Davis “remains to be seen.” ESPN’s Shams Charania said the Hawks, Raptors, and Pistons are monitoring Davis. However, no team has made a move to pursue the 10-time all-star just yet. Over the last three seasons, Davis has missed over 100 games. That’s giving teams hesitance to go all-in for Davis.

At his best, Anthony Davis is one of the top two-way players in the modern NBA. However, he’s missed extended time due to injuries in recent history. Davis could be the finishing piece to several contending teams across the league. Despite that, teams are hesitant to trade away valuable assets for a player who cannot stay on the court. On paper, Anthony Davis is one of the top PFs in the NBA. It’s hard for that to be a reality when he’s constantly battling injuries. Will the 32-year-old be traded this season?
