Always outspoken on social media, Micah Parsons took to X/Twitter on Thursday to air some thoughts about his former employer.
Micah Parsons Sounds Off On Jerry Jones Via Social Media
Before the start of the 2025 NFL season, Parsons was traded by the Dallas Cowboys after a drawn out, highly publicized contract dispute. There were reports of rifts between the All-Pro pass rusher and the Dallas front office, and team owner Jerry Jones in particular, which led to the team striking a deal with the Green Bay Packers.
Now, his reaction to a quote from the Dallas defensive coordinator has social media abuzz.

In a recent press conference, Matt Eberflus was asked about the state of the Cowboys defense. Without mentioning Micah Parsons by name, he said that things changed for the defense when they “lost an All-Pro pass rusher who can win quick”, but saying that they “can’t look back”.
Parsons retweeted the quote from Eberflus with 8 “crying with laughter” emojis.
The reaction immediately sparked backlash from fans and media figures who felt the retweet and emojis were unnecessary or petty.
Parsons didn’t let that narrative linger. Less than an hour later, he fired back with a direct message of his own:
“Y’all want me to feel bad? Jerry Jones slandered my name to Cowboys media and national media for months. So I do think I can react to comment if I want to! #respectfully”
Heading into the final week of the regular season, the Cowboys defense ranks dead last in the NFL in points allowed. A big reason for the issues on that side of the ball has been the lack of pass rush, as Dallas has notched just 31 sacks this season, tied for 8th-fewest in the league. In 2024, with Parsons anchoring the edge, the Cowboys had the third-most sacks of any team.

Micah Parsons continued the dominant start to his career with his new team. In 14 games in 2025, he notched 12.5 sacks and earned Pro Bowl honors, but had his season cut short by an unfortunate ACL injury.
The Packers will enter the postseason without his availability, which is a big blow for a team that relied heavily on his ability to put pressure on opposing quarterbacks.
