Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Mike Evans has been dealing with a hamstring injury. Will the former All-Pro suit up in Week 12 against the New York Giants?

Mike Evans Trending Toward Playing In Week 12

Evans returned to practice on Wednesday and is trending toward playing on Sunday, per head coach Todd Bowles.

Evans has been out since Week 7’s loss to the Baltimore Ravens. Quarterback Baker Mayfield is happy to see his top target back in the lineup.

“From what I can see, good. Just talking to him, he seems really positive about it,” Mayfield said about Evans. “You guys know: Mike’s a pro. He’s going to do everything he can to get back out there with us and fight for this team as we take it one game at a time.”

Evans has 26 receptions, 335 yards, and six touchdowns in seven games.

With seven games remaining, Evans will try to extend his streak of 1,000-yard seasons. Evans has surpassed 1,000 yards in 10 consecutive seasons. He needs 665 yards to make it 11 seasons in a row.

Bucs Still Alive In the Playoff Hunt

Even at 4-6, Tampa is still alive in the race for the NFC South. The Bucs are one game behind the Falcons (6-5) in the loss column and two behind in the win column.

The Falcons hold the tiebreaker over the Bucs, having won both meetings.

The Bucs head to MetLife Stadium to face the Giants (2-8) on Sunday.
