Through 11 games, he is on pace to not only break the single season sack record, but to shatter it. And according to the betting odds, Garrett has a 66% chance of setting the all-time mark.

Garrett has been arguably the best pass rusher in the league over the last eight years. He has notched double-digit sacks in every season since 2018, including two 16-sack years, which previously stood as his career high. He is a six-time Pro Bowler and six-time All-Pro team selection, and signed a massive contract worth $123.5 million this past offseason.

And yet, Myles Garrett is having the best season of his NFL career thus far in 2025. In just 11 games played, he has recorded an incredible 18 sacks, 5 more than anyone else. He has been especially dominant lately, posting 13 sacks in his last four contests, and 7 in his last two.
His total of 18 gives him 1.63 per game so far this year, putting him on pace to pass the record of 22.5 with ease. If Garrett keeps up the production over a full 17 game schedule, he will finish with an astounding 28 sacks on the year.
The mark of 22.5 was set by Michael Strahan back in 2001. Twenty years later, TJ Watt tied the record with his 22.5 sacks of his own in 2021, and the two are currently tied atop the single-season leaderboard.
Oddsmakers Say 66% Chance Of Catching Strahan, Watt
According to the oddsmakers at BetOnline, Myles Garrett is listed with a -200 designation to become the single-season leader. Those are implied odds of 66%.

That isn’t the only record that he’s on pace to break. Garrett also has 26 tackles for loss so far in 2025, which is already the 7th most in a season. That puts him on pace for 40, which would edge out JJ Watt’s 39 that he notched in 2012 to set the record. The next-highest is Watt again at 29.
BetOnline has odds for that too, though not nearly as favorable. Garrett is listed at +150 to break that particular mark, implied odds of 40%.
