NBA Rumors: Phoenix Suns Had Multiple Locker Room Fights In 2024-25

The Phoenix Suns endured one of their most disappointing seasons in recent history in 2024-25. Instead of making progress with their big three of Kevin Durant, Devin Booker, and Bradley Beal, the team instead finished 10 games under .500 and in 11th place in the Western Conference. One former NBA star spoke about the subject on Friday, and offered some damning details on the situation.

Suns Had Multiple Locker Room Fights, Says Former NBA Player

On an episode of Run It Back on FanDuelTV, host Michelle Beadle was talking to the three former platers on the show about the Kevin Durant situation. DeMarcus Cousins was the first to give his opinion on the matter, and explained that there were serious tensions amongst the team this past year.

At one point, Cousins even said that he knew of multiple fist fights that occurred within the locker room over the course of the regular season. The revelation took Beadle by surprise, and she asked if Cousins would elaborate on which players were involved in the said scuffles. He turned that request down, despite already spilling some of the drama.

Cousins Knows All About Fights & Scuffles

Cousins is no stranger to spats and scuffles, dating back to his time in the NBA. The four-time All-Star had a reputation of being a hot head during his career, finishing in the top-10 in terms of most technical fouls each year for eight straight seasons.

He made headlines recently for a dust up that he had while playing in Puerto Rico. After an on-court incident with a fan resulted in his ejection, Cousins was pelted with liquid thrown by fans as he exited the court and headed back to the locker room. It took multiple people, including teammates and security guards, to keep an enraged Cousins from confronting the fans.

As for Durant, his immediate NBA future is very much up in the air. There have been rumors swirling for weeks about where he might end up, and he has gone as far as to provide a list of three preferred trade destinations.

His situation could be coming to a conclusion soon, though, as both the NBA Draft and free agency are right around the corner.
