2025 will be the second consecutive year that Netflix airs a Christmas Day doubleheader.
In 2024, Netflix broadcast two games. The Kansas City Chiefs played the Pittsburgh Steelers in the first game, while the Baltimore Ravens took on the Houston Texans in the second game.
The Chiefs beat the Steelers 29-10, while the Ravens dominated the Texans 31-2.
Per Netflix, the two games were the two most-streamed NFL games in U.S. history, with an average audience of more than 26.5 million viewers in the U.S. The game also drew over 30 million viewers globally.
Netflix continues to make its push into live sports. This past weekend, Netflix broadcast the fight between Canelo Alvarez and Terrence Crawford, which generated over 41 million views for the streamer.
Last November, a fight between Jake Paul and Mike Tyson became the most-streamed sporting event ever, peaking at 65 million concurrent streams.
Netflix also has WWE Monday Night Raw for the next 10 years.
