He was already projected to be selected in the first round of the 2025 NFL Draft, but perhaps no player helped boost their stock during the weekend’s Combine more than safety Nick Emmanwori.

Nick Emmanwori NFL Player Profile

Nick Emmanwori was widely considered to be a first round talent before the start of the 2025 NFL Combine. He spent three years playing for the University of South Carolina, and he had his best season in 2024. His 4 interceptions were double the amount that he racked up in his first two campaigns, and his two pick-6s were tied for the most in the nation overall.

He figures to be taken in the first round of the upcoming draft. Emmanwori is considered to be a physical specimen, with a rare combination of size and speed that will be wildly attractive to interested NFL teams. He does have a few shortcomings, as most collegiate prospects do, but the ones that he lacks in are considered to be coachable.

If there were any doubts about his measurements physically, they’ve been dispelled at this year’s Combine. It can be argued that no player at any position had a better performance over the weekend than Emmanwori, and that will only boost his already high draft stock.

2025 Combine Results

40-Yard Dash

There were 15 safeties that participated in the 40-yard dash this year, and only one of them recorded a better time than Emmanwori. The South Carolina product posted an impressive time of 4.38 seconds, which was just slightly off of the lead number of 4.37. Not only was it a high mark as far as this year is concerned, but it was the 13th fastest time of any NFL safety since at least 2007.

Broad/Vertical Jump

No safety jumped higher or further than Nick Emmanwori in this year’s combine. In the vertical jump, he impressed with a height of 43”, which could end up being the best mark of any player at any position. It may be the same case with the broad jump, as his mark of 11’6” was higher than any running back or wide receiver as well.

Bench Press

Continuing his impressive showing, Emmanwori participated in the bench press and finished with the most reps of any safety. He finished with a total of 20, the best of the 7 participants.

Physical Measurements

Nick Emmanwori NFL Draft Prediction

Emmanwori was already projected to be a first round pick, and his stellar showing at the NFL Combine will only boost his draft stock. He is still likely to be the second safety selected behind Malaki Starks, but don’t be surprised to hear his name called shortly after.

Prediction: 1st Round, 14th overall pick – Indianapolis Colts
