NFL Combine 2025: Terrance Ferguson Measurements, 40 Time, & Draft Prediction

There may have been no more impressive showing during the first two days of the 2025 NFL Combine than the one that Oregon tight end Terrance Ferguson enjoyed. Will it help to boost his draft stock in any way?
Terrance Ferguson NFL Player Profile
Ferguson has been projected to be a Day 2, or possibly even a Day 3 tight end prospect for the 2025 NFL Draft. His numbers were impressive enough to set school records at the University of Oregon for his position, as he played four years for the Ducks and scored a total of 16 touchdowns.
But he struggles mightily in the blocking aspect of the game, which can be a red flag at the next level. His scouting report also says that he lacks a tenacity and fire, which will need to be fixed if he hopes to make a name for himself in the NFL.
His performance at the Combine will most certainly help his cause. Ferguson had a stellar showing in Indianapolis on Friday afternoon, posting some of the best numbers of any tight end in multiple exercises and events. But will it be enough to boost his draft stock any higher than the fourth round?
2025 NFL Combine Results
40-Yard Dash
There was no tight end that ran a faster 40-yard dash this year than Ferguson. While he was never considered to be slow, his first place finish comes as something of a surprise, clocking in with a time of 4.63 seconds. There have certainly been much faster tight ends in Combine history, but amongst his peers in the Class of 2025, no one had a better mark.
10-Yard Split
Ferguson’s 10-yard split time was equally impressive. He was clocked at 1.55 seconds, a time that he shared with Mitchell Evans of Notre Dame as the fastest amongst his position group. There were 14 tight ends who participated in the event.
Broad/Vertical Jump
His impressive measurements didn’t end with the speed events. No tight end posted a higher vertical leap than Ferguson at 39”, and his broad jump ranked third at his position with a mark of 10’2”.

Terrance Ferguson NFL Draft Prediction
Ferguson wasn’t on anyone’s Day 1 board, coming in roughly ranked as the 7th-best tight end in the class. Most mock drafts had him pegged as a late-third or fourth round talent. But he may have seriously turned some heads during the Combine, though a few of his attributes still carry red flags.
Prediction: 4th Round, 109th overall pick – New York Jets
