NFL Draft 2025 Day 2: Three Landing Spots For Will Johnson

Heading into the 2025 NFL Draft, Michigan’s Will Johnson was expected to be one of the first cornerbacks off the board. However, Johnson slid out of the first round due to concerns with his knee. Heading into Day 2 of the NFL Draft, Johnson is expected to be taken in the second round. Here are three landing spots for the talented defensive player.
Arizona Cardinals
Michigan CB Will Johnson Jr. has a knee issue that has concerned some NFL teams and helps explain why he still has not been selected.

Before the issue over Johnson’s knee surfaced, the Arizona Cardinals were one of the teams projected to take Johnson in the first round.
Arizona went defense at No. 16. However, they chose Ole Miss defensive tackle Walter Nolen.
Still, the Cardinals need a cornerback. Even with the knee concerns, Johnson is too good of a talent to pass up if he makes it to Arizona in the second round.
The Cardinals own picks No. 47 (Round 2) and No. 78 (Round 3).

The Miami Dolphins are exploring trade opportunities for three-time All-Pro cornerback Jalen Ramsey.
Even if the Dolphins don’t trade Ramsey, cornerback is still a significant position of need.
The Dolphins went defense at No. 13 with Michigan defensive tackle Kenneth Grant.
Perhaps Mike McDaniel takes Grant’s teammate in Johnson, a cornerback with elite ball-hawking skills.
Miami owns picks No. 48 (Round 2) and No. 98 (Round 3).
Baltimore Ravens

If there’s one team that never passes up on elite defensive talent, it’s the Baltimore Ravens.
The Ravens selected Georgia safety Malaki Starks with pick No. 27 in the first round. Starks could thrive next to All-Pro safety Kyle Hamilton.
Adding a corner like Johnson with tremendous playmaking skills could give Baltimore one of the five best secondaries in the NFL.
The Ravens own picks No. 59 (Round 2) and No. 91 (Round 3).
