2025 NFL Draft: Jacksonville’s Team Needs

Defensive Line

While the Jaguars used free agency to improve the offense, fixing the defense will be the top priority in the draft.

The Jaguars’ defense allowed the eighth-most rushing yards per game (132.6) in 2024.

Stopping the run starts in the trenches, and Michigan defensive tackle Mason Graham is exactly who the Jaguars need in the middle.

Cornerback

The Jaguars were bad against the run and even worse defending the pass.

Jacksonville allowed the most passing yards per game (257.4) in 2024.

The Jaguars signed cornerback Tyson Campbell to a four-year, $76.5 million contract last offseason. However, injuries plagued Campbell’s 2024 campaign.

The Jaguars also signed veteran cornerback Jourdan Lewis and safety Eric Murray.

However, the Jaguars must find another cover corner to play opposite Campbell.

Offensive Line

Quarterback Trevor Lawrence is currently rehabbing a shoulder injury.

While Lawrence should be 100% by the time the season starts, it’s not a guarantee.

The Jaguars’ offensive line ranked in the bottom third of the NFL, per ProFootballNetwork.

Protecting Lawrence is the most important task for the offense, so taking an offensive lineman sounds like a good plan.
