The New York Jets enter the 2025 NFL Draft with a new regime. View the Jets’ picks, team needs, targets, and mock draft.

New York Jets Draft Picks

The Jets have new leadership with head coach Aaron Glenn and general manager Darren Mougey.

The Jets have eight draft picks, including the No. 7 pick in the first round.

Speaking of the No. 7 pick, the Jets could have a major decision if Colorado’s Shedeur Sanders slides. Does Glenn want his quarterback of the future, or would he rather fill another hole on the roster?

2025 NFL Draft: New York’s Team Needs

Offensive Line

The Jets have starters for four offensive line spots: Olu Fashanu, John Simpson, Joe Tippmann, and Alijah Vera-Tucker.

However, right tackle is a position of need, especially with new quarterback Justin Fields under center.

Most mock drafts have the New England Patriots taking LSU offensive tackle Will Campbell at No. 4.

With the Jaguars likely going defense at No. 5 and the Raiders linked to Ashton Jeanty at No. 6, the Jets could have a chance to draft the second-best offensive tackle in the draft, Missouri’s Armand Membou.

Pass Catcher (Wide Receiver and Tight End)

Davante Adams and Tyler Conklin left in free agency.

The Jets do not have a legitimate No. 2 pass-catcher in their offense.

The likely candidates to fill that role are Allen Lazard, Tyler Johnson, Josh Reynolds, Stone Smart, and Jeremy Ruckert.

Those aren’t the best options to pair with Garrett Wilson. If the Jets pass on a skill player at No. 7, expect them to take one in the second round.

Edge Rusher

Glenn played an aggressive style of defense in Detroit.

Glenn loves to bring pressure, and if that happens, the secondary predominantly plays Cover 0.

If the Jets can’t get pressure on the quarterback, then the defense falls apart.

The Haason Reddick experiment was an absolute failure in 2024. The Jets need another edge rusher to pair with Will McDonald IV and Jermaine Johnson.
